Santa's Visit to Jenna's House

Jenna did not enjoy sitting on Santa's lap at all this year! She was very upset! She was able to let him know that she wanted a baby stroller! We had a great day. If it wasn't for Nathan's little girl Masyn, Jenna would still have presents to open. She was having too much fun playing with all her new toys that she was a little distracted, and couldn't open her presents. Masyn helped Jenna and opened her presents! Thank you Masyn!!!!!!!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

This is it!!!!!!!! It's Christmas Eve! Santa is loading up his Sleigh right now. He will have a busy night visiting every kids home. Hopefully every tiny tot has been nice, and will get a special delivery from Santa!
Jenna and I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
2009 here we come!

Merry Christmas,
Jaime and Jenna

Santa,

The roads by my house have been terrible. Nothing but sheets of ICE! Please be careful when you land on the roof, we hope that it is not too slick! I decided that you needed Oatmeal Raisin cookies this year! I wanted to make sure that you knew I helped make the cookies, (and they are fresh). Be careful and have a safe trip!

Love,

Jenna

Florida Vacation

Yes we did! We went on two Florida Vacations this year. This vacation was entirely different! This time we had the Magical Disney Experience! Day 1- we swam at the pool (outside in 80 degree weather), then we hunted down some Pirate Putt Putt! Day 2- we swam at the pool, then we headed over to the Kennedy Space Center. We saw the shuttle launch from the Kennedy Space Center, then it took us 5 hours to get back to the hotel. Too much traffic! Day 3- after the ride home from the Space Center, we were lazy during the day and did some more swimming. Then we hit up the Downtown Disney! Loads of people and shopping! Ask Eli about Diny! Day 4- Magic Kingdom. Need I say more? We road 18 rides! Is that a record? What a great time! I don't think we could have crammed anymore into our days is Florida! Jenna had a great time. She smiled ear to ear most of the trip! She even rode on the airplane like a pro!

Jenna's First Time Trick or Treating

Just in case you can't tell, Jenna is a Honey Comb. Not a Bee! She had such a great time running around with Alexis and Kaylee on Halloween! Then when we were done Trick or Treating, Jenna designed and carved her first pumpkin!

Honeycomb

Just in case you were wondering...Yes Jenna went trick or treating! She had a great time and yes she was a Honeycomb! I could see a lot of you were confused. Her Honeycomb had some cute little bees attached. She only ripped one of them off!

Florida Vacation 2008

We took a double van caravan down to Florida! We spent a week on the Gulf of Mexico, just living the "rich life" in our huge beach house! Eli loved building sand castles, hunting for shells, walking on the beach, and riding the waves on his boogie board!

Jenna loved chasing the waves and then letting the waves chase her. She also enjoyed playing in the sand and giving it a taste every now and then. We didn't have any baby gates, so she was very attracted to the stairs. She was allowed to sit on the bottom step, so if Jenna was missing you could find her sitting on her stair. It wasn't until the last day that Jenna enjoyed the ocean. She spent about 30 minutes sitting in the ocean letting the waves knock her around! Okay it was just a little wave and it did nothing more than spin her around on her buns. Talk about sandy buns.

James enjoyed building sand castles, boogie boarding, taking in the view from the beach house, watching sun sets and walking on the beach. Doesn't that sound like a personal ad? He also enjoyed drinking a little booze and smoking cigars with Jared and Mike.

I enjoyed taking naps, drinking Margaritas, and tanning my buns!

We have decided that that our family Christmas present this year will be a trip to Disney. We will be taking that in November! Man I can't wait to go on vacation again!

Indian's Game

Sunday we went to the Indian's Game! It was hot and Jenna was not interested in sitting and watching the game.

Eli wanted to play the carni games that were at the entrance!

James sat and played with his IPhone!

And I spent my time chasing Jenna around the ball park!

GOOD TIMES!

Going With The Flow!

James has finally been able to give his long waited debate a trial run. Whenever we are driving around and I ask James to slow down, he tells me "I am just going with the flow of traffic". My reply usually is, "Tell that to the Police Officer who pulls you over. I think he will still give you a speeding ticket."
Well, James got pulled over this morning and got to give the "Going with the Flow" a trial run with the Police Officer. Let's just say it cost a lot of money to send James to work this morning!
Slow down people, and create a new fad called the "speed limit"!

It's time to SPEAK OUT

I know this isn't really about my family, but I am so tired of making other people rich! This picture just shows how I feel about the gas prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can hardly afford to leave the house anymore. Forget trying to send James to work to make us money!
Then to top it off, we really don't have a decent public transportation system! So we are screwed!

Jenna's Peom

They say only one human
has ever been perfect
Well I have news for 'em
They need to recheck
Cause I happen t'know someone
And I think she is perfect

She has eyes blue as skies
She is pure as water
She has a smile that shines for miles
Not a defect on her
But I just might be biased
She is my daughter

Jenna's First Birthday

Jenna lives to tell more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has made it to her First Birthday!

We had such a great time partying with all of our family and friends. Jenna was an all star! She sat through opening all her presents! She kissed most of her toys. Rumor was if she liked it she kissed it.

Cake eating time was awesome! She started out by putting her fingers in the cake and licking them off. She worked that method for a little while. Daddy tried pushing her face in the cake, but was discouraged not to by Mommie! Jenna after a few minutes did discover it was much easier to lean over and eat her cake with her mouth!

We have not sealed the Time Capsule yet, so if you still want to add something to the collection just let me know!

All of those who were unable to make it due to flooding, we missed you! Take Care!

You would think that since I just at home everyday playing with Jenna I could do a better job at updating this blog! Well, Jenna keeps me pretty busy! Somedays it takes us quite some time to get motivated and get out of our PJ's!

Eli is officially on Summer Break! He can now call himself a 1st. Grader!

Gramma had foot surgery and just started back to work yesterday. She claims she is really tired and will be sleeping a lot this weekend!

Jenna vs. ear tubes

Jenna had her first surgery today! She had a 10 minute procedure, and in the end she came out with Ear Tubes! Luckily our doctor doesn't feel that ear plugs make a difference. So, Jenna will be able to participate in water activities w/out silly putty in her ears. She was a little cranky after the surgery, but we still love her.

Reminder Time

Jenna’s First Birthday!

Jenna was born June 7, 2007 @ 11:07 AM

We will be gathering to Celebrate Jenna’s 1st Birthday

When: June 7, 2008 @ 2:00 PM

Where: 4004 Village Trace Blvd.
Indianapolis, IN 46254
317-297-7216

It is a special time for the Martin Family!

We have decided to do something unique for Jenna’s Birthday. We would like to create a Time Capsule. On Jenna’s 18th Birthday we will open the Time Capsule to enjoy the items that you have given her.

Now let’s discuss what I mean by items. What you choose to place in the Time Capsule will be special to you and Jenna. Or something special to you that you would like Jenna to have when she turns 18. Or something that defines you that you can tell Jenna all about at the opening of the Time Capsule. It could be an item from your Alma Mater as she is getting ready to go to College. It could be something as simple as a letter, or something discussing current events. My hopes are that you spend a lot of time stumped on what you should do. That way when she does open the Time Capsule you will see that what you put in is something that she will always cherish. Better yet she will feel special that everyone cared so much when she was a baby! It is totally up to you whether or not you wrap the item. I am now sending you out to get creative! Please have fun on this mission!

By doing this Time Capsule it will also help our out of town family join in on the fun. For those of you unable to make the trek to Indianapolis please mail in your item and we will place it in the Time Capsule on 6/7/08!

We can’t wait to see everyone to celebrate Jenna’s 1st Birthday!

Vote For Jenna

Krogers is running a contest where you can vote for the design of a Go Green Bag. I designed a few, you can find them on Kroger.com. Vote for Jenna!

Jenna and her personality!

Jenna is growing up so fast. I can't believe how quick time is flying by!

Jenna is learning all kinds of new skills. Jenna has begun flipping over right as I take her dirty diaper off. She leaves me with the full moon view! When she gets really happy she starts slapping her hands on the ground. Yesterday she started clapping! She loves to crawl in circles, and runaway from you when you go to get her.

Last but not least, Jenna is learning the meaning behind "NO", and "STOP". I can tell you this, she does not like to be told no. It's like her feelings are hurt when you tell her no. She does know when she is not suppose to do something, because she will watch you while slowly moving her hand towards the no, no item! Sneaky already!

Trying a new career path

Well it's official. DCS has decided that they no longer need my services! So, I have decided to give being a Stay At Home Mommie a try! So far so good!

I am appealing DCS's decision, so I am not really looking for a job until I have a better idea on what my REAL outcome is going to be!

Sick Week

Jenna and Eli have officially titled me as a Mother! It was the PUKE week. Jenna woke up Saturday Morning with her whole head covered in puke. She projectile vomited on me Sunday. She got kicked out of daycare on Tuesday for throwing up. Then I found Eli Wednesday morning at 3:00 AM sleeping in the bathroom (sitting on top of the toilet). When I tried to put him in bed, discovered the bed covered in chunky puke! So, I spent the morning shaking out and washing his bedding. Luckily Eli has bunk beds and was able to sleep on the top bunk! The best part about shaking out Eli's bedding was I left the remains on the back porch to watch Moochie (our outside kitty) eat it up! YUMMY!

The picture is Jenna at work with me on Wednesday. I just filed her away!

Teeth Update

Of course right as I put it in writing that Jenna doesn't have any teeth, the first one finally pops out.
JENNA FINALLY HAS HER FIRST TOOTH!

No Teeth

We are still waiting on Jenna to pop out a couple of teeth. The ladies at Daycare tell me that she is teething. I say, "I will believe it when I see it!"

I can't even see a spot where a tooth would be coming from! Oh well, that just means she can't hurt me too much when she chomps down!

Eli's Birthday Party

Our crazy party weekend is over! We had an awesome time! When Eli's friends all started to arrive he sat down at the kitchen table ready to eat cake and ice cream. I had to let him know that we were going to do all of our games first then eat cake and ice cream.
Game 1- Pin the Mask on Spidey. What a funny game! The kids loved it! The winners were Eli, and Elijah E. (class mate from school).
Game 2- Pinata Smashing Time. Most of the kids got to place their best whack on Spidey, until the overly muscular Austin swung at Spidey's neck and Spidey's body hit the ground. He was decapitated! James then decided to allow Logan (the last kid in line) get in his swings on Spidey. Needless to James Spidey slipped off of James' broom twice before Logan could get his hit in.
Game 3- Art Project. James and I had made some stamps and everyone got to place a stamp on a canvas to signify their attendane to Eli's 6th Birthday Party. It is offically hanging up in his room.
Game 4- Tatooing fun! Everyone left with a tatoo or two!
The party was awesome and Eli wants everyone to know that he loved his presents!

Check it Out

I wish more people were reading our Blog! When you visit our page save it to your favorites, that way you can check it out when ever! It wont take long! Just visit us a little more often!
Just in case you were wondering, that is Scooter! Jenna is trying really hard to create a positive relationship with the kitties! Most of the time they run away from her, but every now and then they come in for a little sniff. Skeeter talks to Jenna and she talks back! It is really funny to watch the interaction between the two!

Jenna's First Valentines Day

As a new parent I have had the joys of experiancing "firsts" with my Daughter. So, I get to be silly about these new things. I dressed her up in a cute pink lacy outfit. I labeled her food with hearts for daycare. And of course got her a few Valentines Day presents. She just stared at her new stuff, like "What is this?" But then she dug in and began to play. Eli of course loved his Valentines Day basket of goodies. Hopefull they both have tons of fun today at school and daycare.
